Job summary

NerdWallet is seeking a Sales Trainer to partner with Sales Leadership, onboard new Account Executives, and coach current reps. The role embeds with the sales team to observe conversations, deliver coaching, and measure impact.

You will help elevate product knowledge and consultative selling skills across our Small Business Sales org. The position emphasizes rapid onboarding, ongoing coaching, and continuous improvement using playbooks, talk tracks, and actionable feedback.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in sales training, sales enablement, or frontline sales leadership within a fast-paced, quota-driven organization.
• Proven onboarding experience for new sales representatives and accelerating productivity.
• Experience coaching through live observation, call reviews, role plays, and direct feedback.
• Strong understanding of Challenger, consultative, and transactional sales methodologies.
• Excellent communication, facilitation, and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to deliver direct, actionable coaching while building trust across the sales org.
• Experience using sales and enablement technologies such as Gong, Salesforce, LMS platforms or similar tools.
• Willingness to travel approximately twice per quarter for in-person onboarding and coaching.

Responsibilities

• Lead an onboarding program that prepares new Account Executives to navigate customer conversations and master our sales process.
• Deliver ongoing coaching through live call observation, reviews, role plays, deal strategy sessions, and objection-handling exercises.
• Maintain a presence on the sales floor to identify coaching opportunities and provide actionable feedback.
• Reinforce Challenger-based and consultative sales methodology throughout the customer journey.
• Coach on discovery, objection handling, urgency, lender positioning, financing education, ROI and closing.
