Sales Director - USA (Oil & Gas and Energy)

Overview: We are seeking a results-driven and strategic Sales Director to lead our sales initiatives in the Oil & Gas and Energy verticals, with a strong focus on upstream, midstream, and downstream operations. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of over 10 years in the Oil & Gas industry, combined with a deep understanding of wireless networking technologies for rugged, outdoor environments.

A background in selling software-driven solutions, including personnel tracking, safety monitoring, or communications systems, is essential. Experience in the renewables sector is a strong plus.

Establish and manage new client relationships, develop relationships with prospective Rajant clients, elicit & understand customer requirements, negotiate contracts & close deals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute strategic sales plans targeting upstream, midstream, and downstream Oil & Gas operators, EPCs, and service providers.
  • Build and nurture a pipeline of opportunities for wireless network solutions, software platforms, and safety/people-tracking technologies.
  • Drive revenue growth by identifying and closing new business while expanding existing customer relationships.
  • Collaborate with engineering, product, and marketing teams to tailor solutions that address customer needs in industrial and hazardous environments.
  • Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and customer meetings to position the company as a leader in industrial wireless networking.
  • Provide accurate sales forecasts and performance metrics to leadership.
  • Develop strategic partnerships within the Oil & Gas and Renewable Energy ecosystems.

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in sales within wireless or networking manufacturing, automation, robotics, iIoT/IoT, or related industries.
  • Strong track record in business development, deal negotiation, and closing large-scale technology sales.
  • Fluent in English (Bi or Multi-lingual skills are preferred).
  • Technical fluency—comfortable delivering technical presentations, solutions and engaging with engineering teams.
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally (40-60% Max) to meet with clients and attend industry events.
  • Self-starter, self-motivated, and able to work independently in a remote environment and with a team.
  • Need to understand and communicate technical details with a Sales/Business focus.

Training: Online Technical & Sales Training must be completed within the first month of employment.
