Job summary

Dempsey Uniform & Linen Supply in Maryland seeks a Sales Development Representative to build relationships with business owners and drive new opportunities. You’ll receive training, mentorship, and an uncapped commission plan as you progress toward AE roles.

Base pay plus commissions and bonuses, with a path to growth inside a family-owned company that values training and internal advancement. Requires a bachelor’s degree and up to three years in sales.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• 0–3 years of experience in sales, business development, or customer-facing roles.
• Excellent communication skills—confident over phone, video, and in person.
• Competitive, self-motivated, and eager to learn.
• Highly coachable with a positive attitude.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle (local travel).

Responsibilities

• Prospect new customers through phone, email, LinkedIn, and local outreach, using AI tools to identify targets.
• Connect with business owners and decision-makers to understand challenges.
• Manage the sales process from initial conversation through signed agreements for designated accounts.
• Maintain accurate customer information and sales activity in Salesforce.
• Follow up with prospects to meet activity, meeting, and revenue goals.

What You'll Do:

Build Relationships

• Prospect new customers through phone, email, LinkedIn, networking, and local business outreach — using AI tools to help identify and research the right targets faster.
• Connect with business owners and decision-makers to understand their challenges.
• Identify opportunities where Dempsey can improve a customer's image, safety, and operational efficiency.

Grow the Business

• Present Dempsey's uniform and linen rental solutions to small and mid-sized businesses.
• Manage the sales process from initial conversation through signed agreement for designated accounts.
• Partner with senior Account Executives on larger opportunities while learning from experienced professionals.

Stay Organized

• Maintain accurate customer information and sales activity within Salesforce.
• Manage your sales pipeline and consistently follow up with prospects.
• Achieve monthly activity, meeting, and revenue goals while continually developing your skills.

What We're Looking For:

• Bachelor’s degree required (recent grads welcome!)
• 0–3 years of experience in sales, business development, or customer-facing roles
• Excellent communication skills—confident and clear over phone, video, and in person
• Competitive, self-motivated, and eager to learn
• Highly coachable with a positive attitude
• Valid driver’s license, reliable vehicle, and insurance (local travel required)
