You will qualify both inbound and outbound interest, book demos, and help build and optimize the outbound systems. Prior sales experience is welcome but not required; new graduates are encouraged to apply.
Location: San Francisco, CA
Work Model: Onsite
Industry: B2B SaaS - AI sales intelligence
Compensation: $60K base, $100K OTE
Our partner is a Y Combinator-backed startup building an AI sales intelligence platform that helps revenue teams understand what is actually happening in their pipeline. They have raised a seed round from a well-regarded early-stage fund and a group of respected operators and angels, and they are growing revenue 20-30% month over month with net revenue retention above 140%. They win the majority of their head-to-head evaluations against the established players in the category, and several customers have consolidated onto their product after a single proof of concept. The team is eight people today and expects to be twelve to thirteen by the end of September.
This is a Sales Development Representative role on a team that is still small enough that the first few hires shape how the entire outbound motion works. You will run multi-channel outbound — cold calls, email, LinkedIn, and notably more in-person outreach than a traditional SDR role involves — and you will own the systems behind it, not just the activity. You will work directly with the head of growth and one of the co-founders on go-to-market strategy, and your compensation is tied to qualified demos booked.
The team is deliberately open on background. They are not filtering for prior sales experience; they are filtering for people who have done something genuinely hard and learned from it. Recent hires in comparable seats have come from founding a company, growth work at an early-stage startup, and financial analysis. There is no formal promotion timeline, and the team is candid about that — what they will say is that when a larger go-to-market role opens, they look internally first, and there is precedent for that happening.
