Cornerstone Planning Group | Boca Raton Area, FL | On-Site

Help Build the Future of Cornerstone

Cornerstone Planning Group is building a financial advisory firm designed for growth—for our clients, our advisors, and our team.

We are a culture-driven organization committed to meaningful work, lasting relationships, and creating an environment where financial advisors can build stronger businesses and more fulfilling careers. As Cornerstone enters its next stage of growth, we are seeking a driven and engaging Sales Development Representative to help expand our advisor community.

This is a unique opportunity to help shape a growing advisor community at a pivotal stage in Cornerstone's evolution. Working directly with our Director of Advisor Growth and firm leadership, you'll build relationships with financial advisors, represent Cornerstone at industry events, and contribute meaningfully to the firm's long-term growth.

What You’ll Do
Generate Advisor Opportunities
  • Serve as the first point of contact for prospective financial advisors and advisory practices.
  • Conduct targeted outreach through phone, email, text, LinkedIn, and other channels to build a qualified pipeline.
  • Research prospective advisors and tailor outreach to their businesses, backgrounds, and goals.
  • Communicate Cornerstone's value proposition effectively while adapting conversations to individual prospects.
  • Generate a consistent flow of qualified introductory meetings for the Director of Advisor Growth.
Support Conferences and Industry Events
  • Partner with the Director of Advisor Growth to prepare for and attend conferences, networking events, and industry programs.
  • Research attendees, identify priority prospects, and coordinate meetings before and during events.
  • Confidently engage prospective advisors, communicate Cornerstone's story, and identify opportunities for continued dialogue.
  • Document key insights and execute timely follow-up to convert event interactions into meaningful opportunities.
  • Conduct timely and personalized post-event follow-up to turn new connections into lasting relationships and qualified opportunities.
Build and Cultivate Relationships
  • Develop rapport with prospective advisors and understand their businesses, goals, and challenges.
  • Maintain thoughtful follow-up with prospects throughout the recruiting process.
  • Coordinate meetings, advisor visits, presentations, and related logistics.
  • Provide the Director of Advisor Growth with organized notes, context, and recommended next steps.
Manage the Advisor Growth Pipeline
  • Maintain accurate CRM records, activity tracking, notes, and follow-up schedules.
  • Monitor key pipeline metrics, including outreach activity, engagement, meetings, and qualified opportunities.
  • Partner with the Director of Advisor Growth to prioritize opportunities and maintain momentum.
  • Re-engage long-term prospects and support advisors as they move through the recruiting process.
  • Handle advisor and business information with professionalism and discretion.
  • Support prospects as they advance through Cornerstone’s recruiting process, with the ultimate goal of welcoming well-aligned advisors to the firm.
Improve How We Grow
  • Share prospect feedback and marketplace insights with the advisor growth and marketing teams.
  • Help connect marketing and event activity with measurable advisor-growth results.
  • Test and refine communication, follow-up, and engagement approaches.
  • Identify advisor needs and trends that can strengthen Cornerstone's value proposition.
  • Support additional initiatives as the Advisor Growth function expands.
Partnership with the Director of Advisor Growth

The Sales Development Representative creates engagement and opportunity at the top of the pipeline and is responsible for initiating conversations, qualifying interest, supporting in-person engagement, maintaining consistent follow-up, and scheduling meaningful introductory meetings.

The Director of Advisor Growth takes primary responsibility for deeper discovery, strategic relationship development, and guiding qualified prospects toward a decision to join Cornerstone.

Both individuals will work closely together at industry events and throughout the advisor’s journey to create a seamless and highly professional experience.

What Success Looks Like

Success will be evaluated through a balanced combination of consistent outreach, quality conversations, qualified meetings, event engagement, pipeline movement, and contribution to Cornerstone’s broader growth.

This includes:
  • Consistent and disciplined outbound outreach
  • A steady flow of qualified advisor conversations and meetings
  • Effective follow-up and pipeline progression
  • Strong event engagement and relationship development
  • Timely responsiveness to inbound opportunities
  • Accurate and organized CRM management
  • Creating opportunities with advisors who fit Cornerstone’s target profile.

Activity creates opportunities, but activity alone is not the goal. The quality of the conversations, relationships, and opportunities created will be equally important.

What You’ll Bring
  • Exceptional interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Confidence initiating conversations both virtually and in person.
  • Ability to quickly build rapport in professional settings.
  • Strong listening skills, curiosity, and sound judgment.
  • A polished and professional presence when representing Cornerstone.
  • Discipline, resilience, and a positive attitude in an outreach-driven environment.
  • Excellent organization, time management, and follow-through.
  • Goal orientation, accountability, and coachability.
  • Comfort using CRM systems, LinkedIn, sales-engagement tools, and related technology.
  • Willingness and ability to travel up to 20% of the time.
Preferred Experience
  • Two or more years of experience in business development, outbound sales, recruiting, lead generation, financial services, or another relationship-driven role.
  • Experience generating and qualifying opportunities through outbound and inbound channels.
  • Experience developing professional relationships through conferences, trade shows, networking programs, or other live events.
  • Familiarity with financial advisors, RIAs, broker-dealers, wealth management, or financial services is a significant advantage.
  • An understanding of the challenges faced by small-business owners is highly valuable.
  • Experience with CRM and sales-engagement platforms is preferred.
Compensation:

Base salary: $60,000-$90,000 depending on experience. Additional incentive compensation is tied to advisor-growth activity, qualified opportunities, and business-development results. Top performers will have significant opportunities to increase earnings as Cornerstone grows.

Successful Sales Development Representatives will have opportunities to grow into roles such as: Senior Advisor Growth Specialist or Strategic Advisor Recruiting and Relationship roles. As Cornerstone expands, this position is expected to grow in responsibility and influence.
