Can be located anywhere in one of our 1200+ locations across North America. This position works in conjunction with local branches near you and independently. Sales Development Program - What We Do:

1. Sales Performance: improve time to productivity with automated learning paths and certification on execution and retention
2. Coaching: provide a structured coaching environment with weekly 1:1 sessions for reps & managers
3. Skills Development: build confidence to handle any situation with video role plays, simulated sales scenarios, and field ride-alongs
4. Micro Learning: distribute bite-sized content with engaging videos, quizzes, and challenges

How We Do It:

1. Analytics: provide real-time visibility to achievements, capabilities, and knowledge gaps
2. Gamification: motivate teams with leaderboards & badges
3. Sales Tools: access content through internal & customer-facing programs
4. Artificial Intelligence: leverage descriptive & predictive intelligence to maximize engagement and proficiency

What You'll Do:

• Qualify and quantify the needs of existing customers using our CRM, SalesForce.com, and persuasive selling techniques
• Validate and collect primary decision maker's contact information and customer needs for future campaigns
• Use marketing & sales tools to identify and sell to new customers
• Recover declining & dormant customers via sales tools and our value proposition
• Support and learn about branch operations
• Learn to use United Rentals' IT systems for quotes, rentals, sales, reservations, and territory management
• Coordinate with branch departments to ensure customer satisfaction and communicate field issues
• Work with ISR's to provide solutions regarding equipment needs, training, demonstrations, quotations, catalogs, credit apps
• Negotiate prices on rentals and sales following pricing policies
• Drive customer engagement at local events/promotions
• Perform duties as assigned by management

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
• One year experience in a sales-related role preferred
• Proven planning, problem-solving, and negotiation skills
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office with at least 1 year of experience
• Strong presentation skills and sales orientation
• Strong teamwork and organizational skills
• Valid driver's license with an acceptable record
• Willing and able to relocate
