Job summary

La-Z-Boy Incorporated in Downers Grove, IL seeks a Sales Associate to drive in-store sales with exceptional service and product knowledge. You will promote the Design program, assist Designers, and build lasting customer relationships to increase profitability.

The role offers a 40-hour work week with training pay of $16/hour for 2–6 weeks and a realistic annual earnings range of $45,000–$65,000+ (base, bonus, commissions).

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Previous selling experience and ability to close a sale.
• Excellent communication, customer service skills, and organizational skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate, build rapport, and positively influence
• Demonstrated persuasion and negotiation skills.
• Ability to work the schedule and hours dictated by business needs.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Drive store sales through furniture, accessories and services.
• Promote the Design program and assist the Designer to achieve Design program sales goals.
• Follow the La‑Z‑Boy selling process to provide a positive customer experience.
• Develop knowledge of products and design options to present customized room designs.
• Schedule deliveries, manage orders and maintain accurate customer records.
• Maintain store appearance, floor displays and product knowledge.
