Job summary

La-Z-Boy Incorporated is hiring a sales-focused professional to drive in-store furniture, accessories and service sales. You will promote the Design program, assist Designers, and deliver excellent customer experiences through the established selling process.

Training pay starts at $15 per hour for 2–6 weeks with no commissions, followed by earning potential of $45,000–$65,000+ annually including base, bonus and commissions. Must be available evenings, weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• Previous selling experience and ability to close a sale strongly preferred
• Excellent communication, customer service skills, and organizational skills
• Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate, build rapport, and positively influence
• Demonstrated persuasion and negotiation skills
• Ability to work evenings, weekends and holidays as required

Responsibilities

• Contribute to store sales goals by selling furniture, accessories and services
• Promote the Design program & assist the Designer to achieve Design program sales goals
• Consistently execute the La‑Z‑Boy selling process and provide a favorable customer experience
• Develop and utilize sales skills including approach, needs discovery, handling objections, closing and follow-up
• Maintain knowledge of product lines and promotions
• Schedule professional home consultations to present customized room designs and installation services
