Description

The Sales Counselor position is responsible for selling pre‑need and at‑need funeral services, cemetery services, property, merchandise, and inventory. The role includes assisting families with funeral selections, attending services, and managing leads generated through walk‑ins, inbound calls, and proactive prospecting.

About the Role

• Estimated first‑year earnings range: $45,000 – $55,000 (uncompensated commission and earnings potential)
• Training pay of $18.00 per hour for six weeks
• Sales Counselor assists families with funeral selections and attends services
• Leads generated through walk‑ins, inbound calls, proactive lead generation, and prospecting

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education in Business, Marketing, Sales preferred
• 1 year of sales experience preferred
• Valid driver’s license and personal vehicle; mileage reimbursement provided for out‑of‑state appointments
• Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Outlook) required
• Experience with a CRM (lead management system preferred)
• Strong attention to detail, problem‑solving skills, and interpersonal communication skills
• Strong organizational and planning abilities in a fast‑paced environment
• Ability to maintain discretion and confidentiality with sensitive information
• Availability to work holidays, evenings, and weekends as needed
