What you’ll be doing:
- Managing sales results for an assigned book of accounts with large sales potential (~$8-10M+). This includes acquiring new business, growing sales, and managing the current customer base.
- Mapping accounts to identify core and specialty category opportunities.
- Developing a solid understanding of accounts, building strategic growth plans, and identifying new opportunities for growth, business development, and specialty categories.
- Prioritizing your account portfolio to understand accounts deeply and deploy resources effectively.
- Using enablement tools regularly to keep customer data updated, manage a healthy pipeline, and advance opportunities.
- Gaining knowledge of products, customers, and vertical markets.
- Utilizing Salesforce on a regular basis.
- Executing sales strategies through phone, social selling, email/digital communication, and on-site visits.
- Applying sales methodologies to retain and grow the customer base.
What you bring to the table:
- Ability to engage with customers at senior levels.
- Strong presentation development and delivery skills.
- Experience in consultative, solutions, insight selling, and negotiation.
- Strong business, financial, operations, and technology acumen.
- Ability to analyze customer data, industry trends, and create tailored solutions based on Quill’s value proposition.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Creative and cognitive thinking skills.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Basic Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED.
- At least 3 years of sales experience in account management and/or business development.
- Availability to travel up to 4 times per year.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other computer skills.
- Experience working with large, complex accounts.
- Track record of exceeding sales quotas.
- Experience managing complex deal shaping from start to finish.
- Experience in B2B sales processes.
- Experience in account retention and growth.
