Job summary

La‑Z‑Boy Incorporated is hiring in Virginia for a sales role focused on furniture, design services and customer experience. Training pay starts at $15/hour for 2-6 weeks with commission opportunities after training and a realistic annual earning potential of $45,000–$65,000+ including base, bonus and commissions.

Weekly hours are 40 with comprehensive benefits and a focus on professional home consultations.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Excellent communication, customer service, and organizational skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills to build rapport and influence.
• Ability to work evenings, weekends and holidays as needed.

Responsibilities

• Drives Sales: contribute to store sales goals by selling furniture, accessories and services offered by La‑Z‑Boy.
• Develop and utilize selling skills including closing, follow-up and ongoing customer contact.
• Maximize store promotions, marketing initiatives, and grassroots programs.
• Schedule professional home consultations to present customized room designs and installation services.
• Execute the Design process following company guidelines to support design-related functions.
• Provide solutions to ensure a positive customer experience and resolve issues.
• Assist in training and coaching peers on product knowledge and selling skills.
• Maintain store visuals, displays and showroom cleanliness; manage orders and deliveries.
• Open and close the store and ensure daily system logs are completed.
