Role Overview: Sales Consultant

The primary role of the Sales Consultant is to respond to online vehicle inquiries via phone and email. The Sales Consultant works with customers who visit the store, guiding them through the initial buying process to final sale.

Responsibilities
  1. Contact and communicate with customers to identify needs using the Asbury selling process.
  2. Build rapport with customers to develop a referral network.
  3. Respond to internet leads promptly, providing product information and pricing via email.
  4. Answer sales calls and set appointments.
  5. Confirm appointments with customers.
  6. Follow up with customers through outbound calls after inquiries and sales for repeat business.
  7. Conduct test drives and vehicle walk-arounds with customers.
  8. Guide customers from start to finish through the buying process.
  9. Maintain motivation to succeed and create lasting customer relationships.
  10. Utilize and maintain a customer relations management database.
  11. Prior experience in automotive sales, retail, customer service, call centers, or business development is a plus.
  12. Maintain professional appearance and attire.
  13. Bi-lingual skills are advantageous.
  14. Be self-motivated and a team player.
  15. Must be at least 18 years old with a valid driver’s license and able to pass pre-employment screenings.
