Role and Responsibilities

The primary role of the Sales Consultant is to respond to customer inquiries about vehicles advertised online via phone and email. The Sales Consultant also works with customers visiting the dealership, guiding them through the initial buying process to final sale.

  1. Contact and communicate with customers to identify their needs using Asbury's selling process.
  2. Build rapport with customers to generate referrals and establish a customer network.
  3. Respond to internet leads promptly and provide product information and pricing via email.
  4. Answer sales phone calls and schedule appointments.
  5. Confirm appointments and follow up with customers post-inquiry, after sales, and for repeat business.
  6. Conduct test drives and vehicle walk-arounds with customers.
  7. Guide customers throughout the buying process from start to finish.
  8. Maintain motivation to succeed and create lasting customer relationships.
  9. Utilize and maintain a customer relationship management database.
  10. Prior automotive sales or retail experience, customer service, call center, or business development experience is a plus.
  11. Maintain professional attire and appearance.
  12. Bi-lingual skills are an advantage.
  13. Be self-motivated and a team player.
  14. Must be at least 18 years old and possess a valid driver’s license.
  15. Pass pre-employment screenings, including background and drug tests.
