Brightsmith seeks an experienced Industrial Account Manager to own the Waco territory, managing an established industrial book of business within a 120–150 mile radius. The role focuses on developing new business, expanding relationships from the shop floor to the C-suite, and cross-selling capabilities across the wider service centre network.
You will travel to customers, build a robust pipeline, and contribute to growth with an uncapped compensation structure and company vehicle.
We’re partnering with one of North America’s leading industrial power services businesses to appoint an experienced Industrial Account Manager to take ownership of its Waco, Texas territory.
This is an established ~multi million dollar book of business covering industrial and manufacturing customers across a 120–150 mile radius of Waco.
The territory already has a strong customer base, but there is significant opportunity to grow it further. The successful candidate will inherit a portfolio of highly active accounts alongside customers where there is considerable untapped potential.
The business is specifically looking for someone who can upgrade the commercial capability of the territory - not simply manage existing relationships, but actively develop new business, expand customer relationships and increase the volume flowing through the Waco service centre.
There is also a broader cross-selling opportunity across the wider business, allowing the successful candidate to introduce customers to capabilities that may be delivered through other service centres, including larger motor and transformer services.
You’ll take commercial ownership of the Waco territory, managing established industrial relationships while actively identifying and developing new opportunities across the manufacturing market.
You’ll be responsible for:
This is a genuinely field-based, customer-facing commercial role for someone who enjoys being out in the market, building relationships and creating new business.
The territory is centred around Waco, Texas, extending approximately 120–150 miles across a highly industrialised region.
The successful candidate will engage with a broad range of manufacturing and industrial customers, as well as organisations including universities and public-sector customers.
The business is particularly interested in candidates who already understand the industrial market across Central Texas, with existing relationships across the Waco, Fort Worth, Dallas, Austin, College Station and Houston corridors highly relevant.
The Waco operation supports customers across industrial and renewable markets, with this position specifically focused on the industrial customer base.
The wider platform provides access to a broad range of capabilities, creating significant opportunities for cross-selling and expanding share of wallet.
These include:
One of the major advantages of the role is that you aren't restricted to selling a single product or service. The successful candidate can leverage the wider organisation to solve a broader range of customer problems.
We're looking for an experienced industrial sales, business development or account management professional who understands how to sell into manufacturing environments.
The ideal candidate will have:
Direct experience with motors, generators, transformers, pumps, rotating equipment, electrical equipment, industrial MRO or field services would be highly relevant.
The business is also open to candidates from adjacent industrial markets where they can demonstrate strong customer relationships and the ability to transition into this environment.
The successful candidate will be able to move comfortably between different levels of an organisation.
One moment, you may be working directly with a maintenance or engineering supervisor to understand an equipment issue. The next, you'll be presenting a commercial proposal to a senior operations, procurement or executive stakeholder.
The ability to operate effectively at both the technical/operational and executive level is important.
This is not simply a relationship-management position. The business needs someone who can create demand, capture new customers, grow existing accounts and translate customer relationships into measurable revenue growth.
The position is based around Waco, Texas, with responsibility for an approximately 120–150 mile radius.
Given the field-based nature of the position, the successful candidate should be comfortable spending significant time on the road visiting customers across the territory.
This is a strong opportunity to take ownership of an established multimillion-dollar industrial territory with significant room for growth.
The business operates an uncapped compensation structure, allowing high performers to continue increasing their earnings as they grow their territory and exceed targets.
The role also provides a clear opportunity for progression as the territory and customer base develop.
If you've built strong industrial relationships across Central Texas and are looking for an opportunity where you can take genuine ownership of a territory, develop new business and materially grow an established book, this could be a compelling next step.
