Job summary

WR Distribution is seeking an Account Coordinator for the Houston warehouse. This full-time, on-site role reports to the CEO and owns the inside of accounts in both books, coordinating with Territory Managers to ensure orders ship accurately and on time.

You will process orders, prepare quotes, and maintain customer records, while communicating product/status updates and supporting upsell and account growth in collaboration with field managers. Must be on-site in Houston, TX.

Qualifications

• Must have 2+ years in inside sales, account coordination, or customer service in distribution/building materials or related sectors.
• Strong order-entry accuracy and attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills for inquiries, issues resolution, and relationship building with purchasing managers.

Responsibilities

• Process orders and quotes, keep customer records up to date.
• Respond to customers within one business day with product and order status information.
• Coordinate with Houston warehouse/operations to ensure orders ship complete and on time.
• Track account activity, anticipate reorder cycles, and introduce new products.
• Meet with Territory Managers daily.

Job description

WR Distribution is a stocking distributor of window and door components for builders, contractors, installers, and manufacturers across Texas and neighboring regions. Since 2013, customers have counted on WR Distribution for deep inventory, dependable lead times, and hands‑on technical support from people who know both the products and the industry. In October 2026, WR Distribution opened a stocking warehouse in Houston, giving Houston customers local inventory, short lead times, and will‑call for the first time. Customers speak with professionals who know their business and take full ownership when issues arise.

Role Description

The Account Coordinator is a full‑time, on‑site role at the WR Distribution warehouse in Houston. Two Houston Territory Managers work the field; the Account Coordinator owns the inside of every account in both books and reports to the CEO.

• Process orders and prepare quotes accurately, and keep customer records complete.
• Answer every customer within one business day with product and order status information.
• Coordinate with the Houston warehouse and operations team so every order ships complete, accurate, and on time.
• Track account activity, stay ahead of reorder cycles, catch declines early, and introduce new products.
• Meet with both Territory Managers every morning and before the end of every day.

Pay and benefits:

$25.00 to $28.00 per hour, overtime eligible, plus uncapped quarterly commission on every book served. Paid time off, medical, dental, vision, life coverage, and a 401(k) match.

Qualifications

• Two or more years in inside sales, account coordination, or customer service, ideally in distribution, building materials, or related industrial sectors.
• Strong order‑entry accuracy and attention to detail, with organizational and time‑management abilities in a fast‑paced environment.
• Customer service and communication skills to handle inquiries, resolve issues, and build lasting relationships with purchasing managers.
• Sales skills to support quoting, upselling, and account growth in partnership with the Territory Managers.
• Proficiency with order‑entry or ERP systems, plus solid Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Outlook, Word).
• Ability to work on‑site in Houston, TX, including regular time on the warehouse floor and lifting up to 30 pounds.
• A valid driver’s license for occasional local customer visits.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; post‑secondary education in business, sales, or a related field is a plus.
• Experience with window and door hardware or sealants, and fluency in Spanish, are a plus.
