Job summary

Ballerina Restaurant Inc. in Bal Harbour, FL is seeking a dedicated Salad Prep team member to join our kitchen crew. You will prepare and assemble fresh salads and cold dishes, wash and portion ingredients, and help keep the prep area clean and organized.

This fast-paced role requires basic knife skills, reliability, and a teamwork mindset. Food handler certification or willingness to obtain one is preferred, and you’ll enjoy staff meals, uniforms, and growth within a vibrant dining environment.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in a kitchen, food prep, or restaurant environment preferred.
• Basic knife skills and knowledge of fresh ingredient handling.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 30 lbs.
• Food handler certification or willingness to obtain one.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and assemble fresh salads and cold dishes according to restaurant recipes and standards.
• Wash, chop, and portion vegetables, fruits, and other salad ingredients.
• Maintain proper food storage and labeling to ensure freshness and food safety compliance.
• Monitor and restock salad station supplies throughout service.
• Keep prep area clean, sanitized, and organized at all times.
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely and accurate food preparation.
• Follow all health, safety, and sanitation guidelines per local food handling regulations.
