Job summary

County Connection is seeking a Manager of Safety and Training to lead safety, risk, and training programs across the agency. Responsibilities include developing and enforcing safety plans, audits, and employee training, including CDL requirements, FMCSA ELDT, and DMV programs.

Qualifications

• Minimum six (6) months in your position to transfer to another department.

Responsibilities

• Manage risk programs including workers’ compensation and liability claims.
• Develop and implement internal safety programs and training.
• Conduct audits and inspections to identify safety concerns and implement corrective actions.
• Maintain all required safety plans including PTASP, IIPP and WVPP.
• Coordinate emergency response programs and liaison with County/Regional EOC.
• Oversee training of all employees, including CDL training and required forms.
• Develop and maintain training manuals, materials and presentations.
• Ensure FMCSA ELDT compliance and DMV Employer Testing Program requirements.
• Manage DMV Employer Pull Notice program and ETP records.
• Oversee NTD safety and accident reporting and regulatory submissions.
• Prepare correspondence and reports for staff, Board of Directors and regulators; present as needed.
• Support revision and maintenance of the employee handbook related to safety, training and risk.
