Job summary

Summit School Services LLC is seeking a Safety Supervisor to lead daily safety operations at a single CSC, ensuring compliance with company policies and transportation regulations while coaching drivers and conducting routine safety audits.

You will manage training, incident investigations, drug/alcohol testing programs, and safety reporting, reporting to the General Manager, and contribute to Summit's culture of safety, accountability, and dependable service.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent; some college preferred.
• Trainer in school bus transportation industry desired.
• Supervisory experience preferred; experience supervising/training a driver workforce.
• Must complete state certification program or Durham's Training Academy for school bus driver instructor.
• License or Certification: SBDI certification and CDL with endorsements.

Responsibilities

• Supervises day-to-day activities of operators to ensure safety compliance.
• Provides coaching and safety training to operators.
• Prepares and submits required safety reports.
• Leads driver safety meetings and on-scene investigations of incidents.
• Maintains random drug/alcohol testing programs and pre-employment testing.
