Job summary

Summit School Services LLC is seeking a Safety Supervisor to lead safety initiatives at a single Customer Service Center, ensuring compliance with company policies and transportation regulations. The role includes coaching drivers, conducting safety audits, and leading investigations into incidents to promote safe and reliable transportation services.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent; some college preferred.
• SBDI certification required; CDL with Passenger and School Bus Endorsements.
• Experience supervising/training a driver workforce is preferred.
• State certification program or Durham's Training Academy for school bus instructor; trainer experience acceptable.
• Strong MS Office knowledge and transportation software familiarity.
• Demonstrated leadership, organization, and people skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervises day-to-day safety operations to ensure compliant, safe bus operations.
• Provides coaching and safety training to drivers; addresses issues and coaching needs.
• Maintains a positive work environment and promotes company values and customer service.
• Prepares reports and ensures timely submission to management.
• Ensures policy compliance and discusses breaches with General Manager.
• Evaluates performance and administers discipline per policy.
• Delivers ongoing driver training and performance reviews.
• Manages drug/alcohol testing programs with corporate office.
• Leads Driver Safety Meetings and analyzes location trends.
• Investigates accidents and on-scene incidents; submits reports to corporate.
• Addresses customer service safety complaints and corrective actions.
• Oversees the Safe Driver Award Program and Health & Safety Committee meetings.
