In this hands-on role you will stand up and run the operational safety machinery, owning incident management, triage, investigations, training, qualification, and the reporting cadence as we scale vehicles, routes, and customers. You will write the processes, lead the first investigations, and then hire to scale.

Responsibilities

• Incident management: end-to-end response process, detection, notification, severity classification, on-scene coordination, containment decisions, root cause investigation, corrective action, and closure.
• Event triage: build pipeline turning field telemetry, disengagements, operator reports, and near-miss data into a ranked, actionable queue.
• Investigations: lead investigations of collisions, disengagements, and anomalous behavior, drive to defensible causal accounts.
• Training and qualification: design training and recurrent-qualification program for safety drivers, autonomous vehicle operators, and remote support staff.
• Safety data and reporting: own operational safety metrics set and reporting cadence.
• Feedback into engineering: partner with Head of Safety to feed hazard analysis and change assessment with field reality.
