Job summary

Manhattan Construction Company is seeking a Safety Manager 1 to oversee safety, health, and environmental policies on construction projects. The role focuses on identifying hazards, enforcing standards, and maintaining a safe, injury-free work environment.

Responsibilities include conducting safety trainings, supervising first aid and rescue activities, and investigating incidents. A bachelor's degree or related safety experience, plus 5+ years in the field, are required.

Qualifications

• 4-year bachelor’s degree or relevant safety experience.
• Board of Certified Safety Professional STS(C) and/or CHST or equivalent.
• 5+ years of industry experience.
• First aid & CPR certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Enforce safety, health, and environmental policies on projects.
• Lead weekly project safety training sessions.
• Supervise safety/first aid and rescue activities.
• Investigate incidents and report findings.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA standards at all levels.
• Mentor assigned Safety Engineers and coordinate with regional safety teams.
