Job summary

NorthStar Energy Solutions is seeking an experienced Safety Professional to support underground and dry utility construction for large-scale data center projects across Texas. You will lead day-to-day field safety efforts, ensuring regulatory compliance and fostering a strong safety culture on multiple projects.

The role requires extensive construction safety experience with underground utilities, trenching, and civil construction, plus OSHA 30.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 5 years of construction experience with underground utilities or dry utility construction.
• Minimum 2 years supporting safety operations on data center, industrial, or utility projects.
• Strong knowledge of excavation and trenching safety, utility locating, and hazards.
• OSHA 30 Construction certification required; additional safety certs preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct field audits and site inspections to identify safety risks.
• Monitor safe work practices for excavation, trenching, drilling, and heavy equipment.
• Provide real-time safety guidance to crews, supervisors, and subs.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA standards and client safety requirements.
• Lead daily safety meetings, JHAs, and tailgate talks.
• Assist with incident investigations and root cause analyses.
• Maintain safety documentation and training records.
• Collaborate with project managers and client reps to promote safety.
• Assist onboarding and ongoing safety training for field personnel.
