Job summary

NorthStar Energy Solutions, a Quanta Services company, seeks an experienced Safety Professional to support underground and dry utility construction for large data center projects across Texas. You will lead day-to-day field safety efforts, drive hazard mitigation, and ensure regulatory compliance across multiple active projects.

The role requires strong construction safety experience, OSHA 30 certification, and the ability to coach field crews.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of construction experience with underground utilities, civil/sitework or dry utility construction.
• OSHA 30 Construction certification required; additional safety certifications preferred.
• Experience supporting safety operations on large-scale data center, industrial, or utility infrastructure projects.
• Strong communication, leadership, and relationship-building skills; ability to influence safety behavior in the field.

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular field audits and inspections to identify and mitigate safety risks on underground and dry utility construction sites.
• Monitor excavation, trenching, shoring, utility locating, drilling, duct bank installation, backfilling, and heavy equipment safety.
• Provide real-time safety guidance to field personnel, supervisors, and subcontractors on data center projects.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA standards, client requirements, and safety regulations.
• Lead daily safety meetings, JHAs, and tailgate safety discussions.
