Job summary

Kiewit is seeking a Safety Intern to contribute to our North American projects and our mission of nobody gets hurt. This hands‑on internship will involve learning safety programs, regulations, and guidelines while supporting field teams to keep workers safe each day.

You will assist in monitoring site safety, developing procedures, and participating in audits and trainings across diverse environments, with travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Safety, or related field.
• Knowledge of construction safety and OSHA requirements.
• Experience with Microsoft Word and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Assist in implementing and overseeing the Project Safety Program.
• Monitor construction projects for compliance with regulations and policies.
• Provide corrective action recommendations and support safety audits.
• Travel and relocate to project sites as required.
