Job summary

Kiewit is seeking a Safety Intern to contribute to the Project Safety Program and help ensure a safe working environment on North American projects. You will assist in developing site safety policies, monitoring activities for compliance, and supporting audits and training under supervision.

This internship offers hands-on learning in construction safety, with relocation to project or office sites as needed, and opportunities for travel across North America while gaining practical regulatory

Qualifications

• Pursuing a degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Safety, or a related field.
• Knowledge of construction safety and OSHA requirements.
• Proficiency with Word and Excel; strong organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Support development of site safety policies and procedures.
• Monitor project activities for regulatory compliance (federal/OSHA).
• Provide corrective action recommendations and help implement safety metrics.
• Assist with safety program audits, coaching, and onsite training.
