Job summary

Kiewit is seeking a Safety Intern to support our North American projects. You will learn the skills, programs, regulations, and guidelines we live by to ensure our people return home safely. This internship offers hands-on experience in construction management while supporting field teams and safety initiatives.

As a Safety Intern, you’ll participate in developing site safety policies, monitoring compliance, and contributing to metrics and reporting. Travel and relocation may be required.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a degree in Occupational Health and Safety or related field.
• Knowledge of construction safety, current Federal and OSHA requirements.
• Proficient with Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work with all levels in the organization.

Responsibilities

• Assist in implementing and overseeing the Project Safety Program and site safety policies.
• Monitor construction activities for regulatory compliance and safety procedures.
• Contribute to safety program audits, coaching, and on-site training.
