Job summary

Kiewit is offering a Safety Internship focused on learning and applying safety programs across North America. You'll support project safety policies, monitor activities, and assist in maintaining safe working conditions for field teams.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Safety, or a related field of study.
• Knowledge of construction safety and OSHA requirements is preferred.
• Proficient with Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist in implementing and overseeing the Project Safety Program, including site safety policies and procedures.
• Monitor construction project activities for compliance with regulations, client, and company policies.
• Contribute to establishing safe working conditions and provide corrective action recommendations.
• Support safety program audits, coaching, and on-site training.
• Travel or relocate as required for projects.
