Job summary

Kiewit invites energetic Safety Interns to contribute to our North American projects. You will learn core safety programs, regulations and site policies while supporting field teams.

This internship emphasizes real-world safety practices and collaborative problem solving in a dynamic construction environment. You'll gain exposure to safety program audits, coaching, and on-site training while developing skills in monitoring, reporting, and action planning.

Qualifications

• Must be pursuing a degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Safety, or a related field
• Knowledge of construction safety and OSHA requirements
• Working knowledge of computers; Word and Excel proficiency
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to work with all levels of the organization
• Willingness to travel and relocate as required

Responsibilities

• Assist in implementing and overseeing the Project Safety Program.
• Monitor construction activities for compliance with regulations, client, and company policies.
• Provide corrective action recommendations and assist in safety audits and training.
• Participate in safety program development and site safety policy creation.
