Job summary

Kiewit invites motivated students to join our Safety Internship program, supporting the Project Safety Program and site safety policies across U.S. projects. You’ll gain hands-on exposure to regulatory requirements, safety audits, and field coaching while traveling to active job sites as needed.

As an intern, you’ll help develop safe working conditions, assist with performance metrics, and collaborate with teams from craft to leadership in a fast-paced construction environment.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a degree in Occupational Health and Safety or related field.
• Knowledge of construction safety and OSHA requirements preferred.
• Experience with Microsoft Word and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Assist in implementing and overseeing the Project Safety Program and site safety policies.
• Monitor construction activities for compliance with regulations and company policies.
• Provide corrective action recommendations and help track safety performance metrics.
• Support audits, coaching, and on-site safety training across sites.
