Job summary

Kiewit is offering a Safety Intern position across North America, with placement at project sites. You will learn and support the Project Safety Program, develop site safety policies, and contribute to ensuring workers return home safely every day.

Ideal candidates are pursuing OH&S or related fields, with strong communication and teamwork skills, and willingness to travel or relocate for projects. Internship may involve fieldwork and varied weather conditions.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Safety, or a related field.
• Knowledge of construction safety and OSHA requirements is preferred.
• Proficient with Microsoft Word and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Assist in implementing and overseeing the Project Safety Program.
• Monitor construction project activities for regulatory compliance.
• Contribute to site safety policies and procedures and provide corrective actions.
• Support safety program audits, coaching, and onsite trainings.
