Job summary

Southland Industries invites highly motivated students to join its Internship and New College Graduate program in Austin, TX. The role supports the Safety Manager in enforcing safety procedures across HVAC, plumbing and fire protection projects.

You will gain hands-on exposure to OSHA standards, tailgate meetings, and safety documentation while working directly with field staff. This paid internship offers potential full-time opportunities and a pathway to a careers in a leading MEP building

Qualifications

• Pursuing a degree aligned with safety in construction.
• Knowledge of construction safety practices and loss management.
• Ability to learn from Southland field teams and communicate safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Assist Safety Manager in enforcing safety procedures on sites.
• Support distribution of safety cards and maintenance of training records.
• Report and manage company vehicle claims and update MSDS manuals.
• Assist in implementing safety tailgate meetings and maintain forms.
