US Foods Florida is seeking a Manager, Transportation to lead a team of drivers and transportation associates. You will uphold a safety‑first culture, manage daily outbound shipments to customers and distribution centers, and collaborate with transportation leaders to optimize service, safety, and cost.

The role requires building high‑performing teams, coaching, scheduling shifts, monitoring performance, and ensuring DOT compliance.

Formación

• Minimum of three years of experience in transportation/delivery or warehouse distribution.
• Minimum of one year of experience overseeing a workforce.
• Experience as a driver is a plus.
• Broad knowledge of transportation/delivery operations, methods and procedures.
• Strong leadership, communication and people development skills.
• Strong understanding of DOT requirements and regulatory needs.
• Ability to interpret financial and operational data.

Responsabilidades

• Lead with a safety mindset to keep drivers, associates, customers, and the public injury-free.
• Oversee and coach drivers and Transportation associates; train in policy and safety responsibilities.
• Develop performance plans with senior managers to address gaps and improve results.
• Direct and supervise the work of drivers and clerical staff; drive engagement and retention.
• Participate in interviewing and hiring Transportation personnel; review performance and apply disciplinary actions.
• Monitor production goals; troubleshoot delivery issues and implement cost-effective solutions while ensuring DOT compliance.
• Identify waste and improve processes for safer, more efficient operations.
• Schedule shifts using planning tools (e.g., Microsoft Excel) and support daily outbound shipments.
