Job summary

US Foods, Inc. seeks a Manager of Transportation to lead a team of drivers and Transportation staff, focusing on safety, service, and cost control. You will guide daily outbound shipments to customers and distribution centers, while maintaining compliance with DOT regulations and company policies.

The role requires developing personnel, improving processes, and driving performance in a fast-paced distribution environment. Travel and on-road supervision are expected as part of the job.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three years of experience in transportation/delivery or warehouse distribution.
• Minimum of one year of experience overseeing a workforce.
• Experience as a driver is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of DOT requirements and safety compliance.

Responsibilities

• Lead with a safety mindset to maintain injury-free operations.
• Oversee and develop drivers and Transportation associates through coaching and training.
• Direct and supervise the work and productivity of drivers and clerical staff.
• Build high-performing teams and participate in interviewing Transportation personnel.
• Schedule shifts and ensure DOT compliance and cost-effective operations.
