Job summary

You will lead safety initiatives, collaborate with senior management and customers, and drive safety metrics across salaried and hourly teams. This role requires travel up to 60% in the Central region, strong leadership, and the ability to write policies, organize training, and communicate effectively with drivers and management.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Logistics, or related field preferred.
• 3+ years of experience in supply chain, logistics, warehousing or related field.
• Two or more years managing and leading direct reports.
• Strong knowledge of Transportation and/or Warehouse Logistics operations.
• Strong knowledge of safety and security requirements.

Responsibilities

• Manage the performance of salaried and hourly employees under responsibility, resolve performance issues and ensure policy compliance.
• Collaborate with senior management and customers to determine needs and operate the account to meet demands.
• Proactively own all safety metrics - present, summarize, and engage operations as needed.
• Write policy, organize training, and participate in meetings.
• Interact directly with drivers in the name of safety and/or operational initiatives.
• Select and develop certified driver trainers.
• Travel within the central region (Central time zone), up to 60% of the time.
• Be responsible for payroll, accounts payable, vendor quotes, and customer invoicing.
