Job summary

FedEx is seeking a frontline Operations Supervisor to support the Safety Above All Culture while managing day-to-day package sortation and a designated staff. The role includes overseeing administrative functions and ensuring compliance with FedEx policies and regulations.

You will hire, coach, train and evaluate staff, lead daily meetings, and drive process improvements to maximize safety and efficiency. Strong communication and mentoring skills are essential for success in this position.

Qualifications

• Minimum education includes high school diploma or GED; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Strong leadership, coaching and communication skills are essential.
• Ability to analyze data and interpret reports to improve metrics.
• Experience in safety programs and process improvement is valued.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor staff to ensure safe, efficient package sortation and operations.
• Manage hiring, coaching, training, recognition, performance and discipline as needed.
• Plan and direct day-to-day operations and staffing to meet goals.
• Communicate operational updates and goals in daily briefings and meetings.
• Address employee concerns and ensure compliance with FXG policies and safety rules.
• Train new employees on job duties and safety and quality procedures.
• Facilitate safe handling, SWAK, hazmat and VEDR coaching training when required.
• Collaborate with linehaul and other departments to optimize throughput.
