Job summary

Federal Express Corporation is seeking an Operations Supervisor to lead a package-handling team in a fast-paced facility. The role focuses on safety, efficiency, and staff development, with responsibilities spanning daily operations, coaching, and performance management.

You will mentor team members, ensure compliance with FXG policies and training requirements, and coordinate with other departments to optimize sortation, tracking, and overall service quality.

Qualifications

• Six months of supervisory or package handler experience in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience with safety programs and regulatory compliance.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in variable temperatures.
• Strong leadership and mentoring abilities with a focus on coaching.
• Excellent verbal and written communication and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily operations and assigned staff to ensure safe and efficient sortation of packages.
• Hire, coach, train, recognize performance, and evaluate staff; address concerns and maintain productivity.
• Plan, organize, staff, direct, and control specific day-to-day operations; optimize costs and quality.
• Assign employees to ensure safe sortation and tracking of trailers; coordinate with linehaul when applicable.
• Analyze performance data, identify improvement opportunities, and implement action plans.
• Lead daily meetings to communicate updates and daily goals; present to small or large groups as needed.
• Develop and administer safety and employee relations programs in line with FXG policies.
• Train new employees on job duties, performance expectations, and compliance; cover quality, SWAK, VEDR, and dock safety.
• Mentor and develop critical skill sets for newer supervisors and staff; adapt quickly to business changes.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
