Job summary

ESFM is seeking a Safety Facilities Manager to lead safety and workers’ compensation support for local units. The role includes training, site visits, policy implementation, measurement, and client compliance through meetings, calls, and on-site inspections.

Responsibilities include ensuring OSHA compliance, maintaining ongoing safety programs, and preparing monthly reports. The position requires strong communication skills and travel up to 40% to support multiple sites.

Qualifications

• Experience implementing occupational health and safety programs.
• Ability to conduct investigations and evaluations and assess cost and risk factors.
• Ability to interpret and apply a variety of laws, rules and regulations.
• Excellent presentation skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to travel up to 40%

Responsibilities

• Ensures facilities comply with OSHA and other standards through facility inspections.
• Maintains ongoing safety awareness programs for a safe work environment.
• Complies with client administrative and incident investigation programs.
• Assists in loss prevention and control program development and administration.
• Provides training to managers on safe work practices and safety materials distribution.
• Delivers monthly status reports to local management.
• Follows OSHA, DOT and EPA regulations as defined by client and policy.
• Monitors workplace hazards and takes corrective action.
• Participates in resolution of safety issues as needed.
• Reviews injury data and recommends hazard elimination strategies.
• Trains local management in investigation and inspection procedures.
• Conducts safety inspections of facilities for hazards and walk-throughs.
• Maintains OSHA recordkeeping and prepares reports for campuses.
• Monitors workers’ compensation trends and supports return-to-work programs.
