Job summary

ESFM is seeking a Safety Facilities Manager to reduce claims and lost time injuries by providing safety and workers’ compensation support to local units. The role involves training, site visits, policy implementation, measurement, and regular client communication to ensure compliance.

The position focuses on maintaining safe work environments, administering loss prevention programs, and reporting safety metrics to leadership.

Qualifications

• Experience implementing occupational health and safety programs.
• Ability to conduct investigations and evaluations of cost and risk factors.
• Ability to interpret and apply laws, rules and regulations.
• Excellent presentation and written/verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Ensures facilities comply with OSHA and other standards through inspections.
• Maintains ongoing safety awareness programs.
• Manages client incident investigation programs.
• Develops and administers loss prevention and control programs.
• Trains managers to follow safe work practices and maintain a safe environment.
• Prepares monthly status reports for local management.
• Follows federal/state/local regulations and client policies.
• Monitors workplace hazards and rectifies issues as needed.
• Supports safety issue resolutions and injury data analysis.
• Coordinates return-to-work for injured employees.
• Conducts safety inspections and hazard walk-throughs.
• Maintains OSHA recordkeeping and incident reporting.
