Job summary

NexTier Completion Solutions Inc. is seeking a Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) Specialist to lead safety, environmental compliance, and training across field operations.

You will develop and implement HSE policies, conduct investigations, and promote best practices to prevent incidents and ensure regulatory compliance. The role requires strong knowledge of OSHA, DOT, API, and EPA regulations, plus experience in accident investigations, training program development, and leadership in safety

Qualifications

• Knowledge of applicable government laws and reporting procedures (OSHA, DOT, API, RRC, EPA, DOE).
• Understanding safety, training and environmental concepts, standards and practices within the oilfield service industry.
• Thorough knowledge of accident investigation and loss control techniques.
• Working knowledge of oil well servicing industry and related equipment and technology.
• Proficient in conflict resolution and employee engagement.
• Ability to develop programs and present to employee groups.
• Familiar with Work Planning, Performance Review Systems and basic management concepts.
• Understanding of management principles including Training, Motivation, and Organization.

Responsibilities

• Conducts safety and environmental assessments to promote regulatory compliance.
• Develops, implements, and communicates HSE policies and procedures for field operations.
• Provides expertise in accident investigation and review boards to identify causes and corrective actions.
• Recommends accident reduction goals and strategies from available reports and statistics.
• Assists in identifying training needs and evaluating training programs in the district.
• Develops and conducts regular safety training sessions and drills to ensure understanding.
• Maintains communication with operations management, vendors, educational institutions and agencies.
• Audits HSE training efforts for compliance with company guidelines.
• Performs other duties as required by supervisor.
