Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred; 4–5 years in HSE or safety.
• Strong knowledge of HSE regulations and compliance standards.
• Leadership and team management capabilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise a team of HSE employees across one or more specialized domains (Field Safety, DOT compliance, Drug & Alcohol programs, etc.).
• Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and company standards; escape issues as needed.
• Take decisive action to protect personnel and the environment, including stopping unsafe operations when necessary.
• Communicate critical updates such as changes in driver status or compliance requirements to relevant stakeholders.
• Oversee and enforce corporate standards related to drug and alcohol screening and reporting.
• Conduct investigations into incidents, worksite conditions, and compliance issues to determine root cause.
• Identify causes of non-compliance, including driver disqualification or operational deficiencies.
• Mentor, coach, and train HSE personnel to ensure consistent performance and development.
• Collaborate with internal teams, contractors, and regulatory agencies to support compliance efforts.
