Job summary

nexAir, LLC is seeking a Safety & Environmental (SH&E) professional to oversee internal audits across the region and ensure regulatory compliance for hazardous materials handling in transportation and storage. You will coordinate training for safety-sensitive roles, maintain current material documentation, and lead safety meetings.

The role requires coordinating safety committees, investigating incidents, and reporting trends to management.

Qualifications

• Must have experience in a safety role within manufacturing/industrial settings.
• DOT compliance knowledge for hazardous materials handling and shipping.

Responsibilities

• Perform internal safety, health, and environmental audits.
• Identify training requirements for safety-sensitive roles and DOT-qualified drivers.
• Provide or coordinate safety training and refresher sessions.
• Monitor refresher training due dates and keep materials current.
• Prepare monthly safety meetings, webinars, and briefings.
• Document safety meeting attendance and topics per nexAir and federal rules.
• Coordinate Company/Facility Safety Committees and chair Safety Team meetings.
• Investigate accidents; determine causes and implement corrective actions.
• Report safety statistics and trends to Operations Managers.
