Job summary

Ford Energy is seeking a Safety professional to lead plant-wide occupational safety initiatives and drive continuous improvement. You will implement safety processes, conduct risk assessments, and guide engineers in safety program execution across multiple locations.

A degree in OH&S or related field is preferred, with strong OSHA/PSM knowledge and ability to manage hazards in dynamic industrial environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Associate degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, or related field, or 5+ years of safety experience in lieu of a degree.
• Demonstrated knowledge of OSHA standards and the 14 elements of PSM.
• Ability to lift heavy objects and work in varying environments; occasional walking/standing required.

Responsibilities

• Implement plant-wide safety processes including SOS, emergency response planning, and safety training orientations.
• Lead project efforts to improve occupational safety programs and guide engineers in their implementation.
• Conduct inspections and audits to identify hazards and ensure compliance with laws and Corporate Safety policies.
• Support launch activities for new projects and assess safety/ergonomic risks for new equipment/processes.
• Develop training programs to prevent injuries and illnesses and oversee delivery of safety training materials.
• Lead safety projects with external auditors/consultants and cross-functional leaders across locations.
• Design safety communications and standards addressing new safety concerns to promote best practices.
• Drive continuous improvement across Health and Safety initiatives and policy updates.
