Job summary

Ford Motor Company is seeking an Engineer 3, Occupational Safety, to apply technical safety standards and independently develop solutions for a broad range of safety problems. The role collaborates with team members to implement the Safety Operating System, emergency response planning, and safety training across the plant.

You will work with senior engineers to meet project milestones and ensure regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health & Safety or related discipline required.
• Master’s degree preferred for advanced roles and responsibilities.
• Doctorate suitable for highly specialized safety engineering work.

Responsibilities

• Assist in implementing plant-wide safety processes and safety training.
• Participate in inspections and audits to identify hazards and ensure compliance.
• Support launch activities for new projects and fault analysis of equipment.
• Lead accident investigations and develop corrective actions.
• Coordinate training across departments on safety topics to prevent injuries.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of occupational safety guidelines.

Education
