Job summary

Ford is seeking an Occupational Safety Manager to lead the safety team, administer plant-wide safety programs, and ensure regulatory compliance. The role partners with Health & Safety leadership to address complex safety issues across departments and directs documentation and investigations to prevent injuries.

The position oversees training, risk mitigation, and KPIs, driving continuous improvement in a safe work environment and coordinating with regulators and auditors as needed.

Qualifications

• Interprets and administers company policies and conducts programs related to risk assessment, hazard identification, incident investigations, inspections, audits, safety culture and engagement.

Responsibilities

• Defines and administers plant-wide safety processes and Emergency Response planning, ensuring timely compliance with laws and corporate policies.
• Manages safety audits and inspections, coordinating with regional teams and stakeholders to identify hazards and implement corrective actions.
• Develops activity hazard analyses, safety training, and entry controls to ensure workers' safe access to projects.
• Monitors safety KPIs, prepares internal reports for Health and Safety leadership, and tracks incident trends and corrective actions.
• Provides guidance to managers on general and occupational safety questions and coordinates with authorities and auditors.
