Job summary

FedEx Logistics is seeking an Operations Supervisor in Chicago, IL to lead day-to-day package sortation and supervise a staff of handlers and administrative personnel. You will champion the Safety Above All Culture and ensure adherence to FedEx policies and regulations while directing operations to meet performance goals.

You will hire, train, coach, and evaluate employees, conduct meetings, and partner with other departments to optimize throughput, safety, and quality.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Six months experience in package handling or supervisory roles.
• Certification or 2+ years of college acceptable in lieu of experience.
• Bachelor's degree is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily operations and manage assigned staff.

• Ensure safe and efficient sortation of packages.
• Monitor performance and implement improvement plans.
