Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 0–2 years of safety or woodworking operations experience.
• Proficiency with MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
• Preferred: First Aid/CPR and knowledge of OSHA/DOT regulations.

Responsibilities

• Inspects operations to ensure safe practices and guards are in place.
• Investigates accidents and near-misses; identifies causes and ensures corrective actions.
• Develops safety programs and incentives with management.
• Conducts new hire safety training and ensures understanding of policies.
• Trains employees on safe operation of machinery and equipment.
• Chairs the Safety Committee and maintains safety records.
• Maintains OSHA 300 log and related reports; prepares regular reports.
• Coordinates tours by safety and health regulatory agencies.
