Summit Electric Supply is seeking a Safety Manager to support and strengthen our safety culture across the organization. You will develop and administer safety, health, and environmental programs, partner with leaders to identify hazards, and promote safe work practices.

The ideal candidate is proactive, collaborative, and able to translate safety requirements into practical solutions that support both our associates and our business. Travel to company locations is required.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional experience in workplace safety, environmental health and safety, risk management, or a related field.
• Knowledge of applicable federal, state, and local workplace safety regulations.
• Experience conducting workplace safety inspections and identifying potential hazards.
• Experience conducting or supporting incident investigations, including documentation, risk evaluation, and corrective-action recommendations.
• Experience developing, administering, or supporting workplace safety and health programs.
• Ability to effectively communicate safety requirements to associates at varying levels of the organization.

Responsabilités

• Promote a positive and proactive safety culture through associate engagement, education, coaching, and consistent safety practices.
• Support the development, implementation, administration, and continuous improvement of safety, health, and environmental policies, programs, and procedures.
• Develop, coordinate, and deliver safety and loss-prevention training across company locations and departments.
• Conduct routine inspections of facilities, equipment, and operations to identify workplace hazards and regulatory concerns.
• Conduct and support incident investigations to identify contributing factors and recommend corrective actions.
• Perform risk assessments and partner with operational leaders to identify practical solutions to reduce hazards.
• Review safety information to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
• Support initiatives to reduce injuries and liability incidents.
• Provide safety guidance to associates and leadership regarding workplace health and safety requirements.
• Maintain accurate safety documentation and records.
• Coordinate responses to customer HSE requests including surveys and on-site assessments.
• Assist with developing safety policies and training materials.
