Job summary

JLL in Apex, NC is seeking a Safety Specialist to oversee warehouse safety programs, conduct inspections, and ensure OSHA compliance while supporting procurement and inventory processes.

The role emphasizes collaboration, training, incident investigations, and metrics tracking to drive continuous safety improvements and safe operations for client sites. Onsite schedule Mon-Fri with potential coverage shifts; strong safety background required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Health, or related field or equivalent experience.
• Knowledge of OSHA regulations and safety standards applicable to warehouses and industrial spaces.
• Experience in risk assessment, incident investigation, and corrective action implementation.
• Strong communication skills for training and stakeholder engagement.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and safety or facilities management software.

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular safety inspections, audits, and risk assessments in warehouse environments.
• Develop, implement, and maintain safety programs and procedures aligned with standards.
• Investigate incidents and near-misses; prepare reports and corrective actions.
• Deliver safety training and toolbox talks to employees and stakeholders.
• Track safety metrics and inventory-related data; report to facility leadership.
• Coordinate with operations, management, and regulatory agencies during inspections.
