Job summary

Performance Team in Stockton, CA is seeking a Safety Specialist to oversee safety and health programs, ensuring a safe workplace and minimizing losses.

You will monitor programs, conduct investigations, audits, and manage certifications (PIT forklift) while coordinating with regulators and vendors. Strong OSHA knowledge and 3+ years of safety experience required.

This full-time, on-site role offers competitive pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of federal, state and local OSHA regulations.
• Planning and organizational skills.
• Exposure to Hazmat environments and the nuances of HAZ facilities.
• Detail oriented and a team player.
• Experience and knowledge in tracking incidents and injuries.
• MS Office product experience.
• Spanish speaking a PLUS.
• Minimum 3 years of safety experience within a relevant industry.
• Education and/or Experience: High school diploma or GED; or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and track the effectiveness of Safety Programs within assigned facilities.
• Conduct accident and claim investigations and evaluate risk management claims information to identify significant hazards and loss trends; identify root causes and recommend preventive measures and corrective actions; administer a return to work program.
