Job summary

IES Commercial, Inc. – DBA IES Electrical, a subsidiary of IES Holdings, seeks a Safety Manager in Suffolk, VA. The role involves leading safety training programs, delivering OSHA-10 and OSHA-30 certifications, and ensuring compliance with safety standards across operations.

The position requires knowledge of OSHA regulations, several years of construction safety experience, and strong communication skills to interact with management and field staff. Travel may be required.

Qualifications

• OSHA-500 or OSHA-501 Certification.
• 3+ years of recent construction safety experience; industrial or utility settings a plus.
• Knowledge of OSHA/state/federal safety regulations and electrical construction industry practices.
• Proficient computer and communication skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of management and field employees.
• Maintain driving qualifications as per Fleet Safety Program.

Responsibilities

• Train on safety, compliance, and operation of equipment.
• Deliver OSHA-10/30 certification and safety trainings as needed.
• Provide fleet safety training to drivers.
• Develop training materials and presentations.
• Maintain training tracking database for each employee.
• Participate in safety inspections and ensure violations are corrected.
• Maintain safety files in compliance with regulations.
